Halves the Pokémon's Attack and Sp. Atk stats when its HP becomes half or less.

Generation VIII
Halves the Pokémon's Attack and Sp. Atk stats when its HP becomes half or less.

Generation IX
Halves the Pokémon's Attack and Sp. Atk stats when its HP drops to half or less.

Defeatist (Japanese: よわき Timid) is an Ability introduced in Generation V. It is the signature Ability of Archen and Archeops.

Effect

Defeatist halves the user's Attack and Special Attack stats when their HP is equal to or less than half of its maximum.

Defeatist has no effect outside of battle.

Defeatist decreases the power of the Pokémon's moves by 1/3 when its HP is equal to or less than half of its maximum.
