Mark Seidel Obituary, Death Cause – We, the community of Animal Services, have gathered here in this solemn time of contemplation to commemorate the life of our much loved and respected coworker, Mark Seidel. On October 5th, we learned of his untimely departure, and our hearts were broken to hear the news. After spending the previous 27 years of his life serving with the Annapolis Police Department, Mark decided to become a member of our team during the summer of 2021. His being here has made an unforgettable impression on each and every one of us.
To those who had the good fortune to work alongside Mark, he was more than a simple coworker; he was a great person in his own right. Each one of us has been irrevocably changed by his engaging tales, astute advice, and unflinching friendship. Our shelter was strengthened by Mark’s friendliness and companionship, which made it a better environment for everyone who lived there, both humans and animals.
As we come together to pay our respects to Mark, we are made acutely aware of the fact that the shelter will never be the same without the humor and leadership he provided. During this time of great bereavement, we humbly ask for your prayers and support. Thank you. Let us come together as a community to celebrate Mark’s life and remember him not with sadness but with the happiness that comes from having known someone who made our lives better in many different ways. We shall miss you very much, Mark, and your life’s work will be held in the highest regard for as long as we live.
